First Day To Kindergarten – How To Let Go

My youngest little boy will start his first day to kindergarten soon. Being the youngest , he is very adorable and a little bit stubborn. This is not my first situation of sending my kid to kindergarten but for him I feel anxious. I feel worried about letting him go by himself . I believe there are many other parents who has the same feelings too. How do we learn to let or child go and giving them the chance to grow and develop on outsiders’ hand ( the teachers)?

Here , I am going to implement my own ideas. Our child need to certain extend develop their self-confidence and if we still beside them and monitor every of their move and standby to see if they need us, they won’t achieve it.

We must adapt to the willingness to trust them and allow them to stretch their own wings and see how far can they go all by themselves. But this does not mean that we will not be there when they need us as the last resort but we must tell ourselves that we have done the best for them and are giving them the opportunity to excel and move to their next stage of development.

After sending them to kindergarten, walk away. From my experiences of sending my other two kids few years back , there are parents did not leave. They took the child to the classroom and then stood back to watch until end of the class. It looks like they are waiting for their child to need them and this make them continue to feel that their child still needs them. So, the first step is walk away. At least a distance where the parents cannot see their child for example take a sit at the canteen.

Have faith in the teachers to take care of your child. Trust them. Lets play the game “ what if “ . Think about what if, for example, what if he get lost , what if he doe not remember where to go . The answer is , the teacher is there to assist. The teachers are trained how to be a kindergarten teacher. They are having years of experiences and they have done it over and over again. They are as smart can concern as you. Some of them are mothers too like us whom have the feeling of concern. So , lets walk away with trust in our heart . Trust our kids.

This is the best solution to the question on how to let go our kids to the kindergarten.
